She received another Tuition Scholarship for next year's seminar in addition to Cash Awards and the Gold Medal Honors. [All ages & levels of dancers were combined and four places were awarded - Way To Go!] Just wanted to let you know that John was honored with 2 Judges Choice Awards; "Already on Broadway" (given by Nick Watkins) and "Deliniation by word of Foot" (from Nancy DiCicco). Surprisingly, he earned also earned a National Scholarship in the Senior Classes. We're thrilled! I tried repeatedly to get a photo with Darni and John but she kept putting it off, I later spoke with Loren, she said getting a photo of her mom was next to impossible so we got some photos with Loren. She is the dearest girl and a terrific teacher and choreographer, she was very kind and encouraging to John not only about his dancing but about Crohns as well. In fact, the entire staff was very professional and helpful, we had a very nice time. Your friends Linda and Sandy were lovely, they certainly have a lot of talent, as was reflected in their students! They faired quite well at the competition. There was a lot of talent displayed at Fire & Ice, I was glad for Darni and was impressed with her National Premier, she is a special and talented lady and speaks very highly of you! Loren loves you so much, and shared the story of when she had to be rushed to the hospital years ago and that you gave Darni the use of your brand new Escalade to rush her to the hospital, no questions asked and with no hesitation, she holds you in high esteem not only for your talents but for your heart!!!!! Omar Merced, had some very nice things to say about you as well, and said we were in the best of hands in Pennsylvania!!!!! He said some very nice things to John and seemed to be quite impressed with him, as did Darni, Loren, Nancy and Nick! All in all Abby, I'm so glad we made the trip to Vegas after our successful run in NYC, it was a great amount of physical effort and focus on John's part, for which I am very proud, I respect his fortitude and commitment and I thank God for his continued good health and favor! I so love and appreciate my husband and family for their support and sacrifice not only for the past 30 days but throughout the year!! We can't wait to return home for a much needed rest and quality time! I'm really not sure how to say thank you to you Abby for all that has been learned, accomplished and experienced this season and the last. Thank you for presenting so many opportunities for John and flying back to Las Vegas to be in attendance for his victories. As you said, you wished John had started sooner with you, but God has his own plan and He will be the one to restore anything that might have been lost through those early years. All I know is that I'm so looking forward to another great season of challenge and excitement!
